Background
I am a community-trained artist with a lifelong passion for oil painting and fine art. My artistic journey began in the 1980s with classes under the guidance of Rachel Cyr, a gifted oil painter based in Windham, New Hampshire. Her mentorship sparked a deep and lasting love for the medium.
Over the years, I’ve continued to nurture my skills through a wide variety of avenues—immersing myself in workshops, local and international courses, artist demos, and countless books. This blend of formal and informal training has shaped my style and deepened my appreciation for representational art.
My work has found homes across the United States and in Ireland, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to connect with people through my art. Most recently, I attended a three-day intensive workshop with Patrick Saunders, a renowned representational artist from Texas. I’m also currently studying with Rosemarie Morelli of Walpole, whose insight and experience continue to inspire and challenge me.
My journey as an artist is ever-evolving, and I remain committed to learning, growing, and sharing the joy of painting with others.
